Has the search for your favourite film or tv theme or composer led you to our site?  You've been looking everywhere and would love a copy of the music you've heard on tv or at the cinema?

Welcome to our online shop. We represent some of the most talented composers in the fields of film and television, and we were inundated with requests for our composers' music, so we decided to open our own digital store!

Who are we?

Bucks Music Group is an international and independent music publisher based in London, England, representing (amongst others) a number of film and TV composers and back-catalogues.

Are your downloads legal?

Yes. 
All our product is licensed (ie: contracted with the composer or owner of the master recording). We also ensure the composer is paid for his publishing rights (this is our parent company's main business).

Why can't I buy some of your products elsewhere?

The composer decided to make their music available to our shop as we offer our composers the best deal to sell their music.

Some product is available on the iTunes store and some is available as cds.

In the case of iTunes our composer has given both iTunes and www.filmandtvthemes.com the right to sell this product.

In the case of physical product our parent company makes a decision, if it is commercially viable, to release a physical cd. Given the costs of manufacturing/physical distribution it sometimes makes more sense to release the music digitally rather than manufacture and release a cd. Our parent company decides on a case by case basis.

You publish a particular piece of music or represent a particular writer but I can't find the music I want in your shop.

It takes very little effort to make files available illegally on p2p networks but inordinate amounts of time to do it legally. We are legally responsible and we've undertaken to be professional. This entails: ensuring all rights holders are properly contracted; audio is mastered and audio products are created to high standards; giving you sufficient background info and clips so you can be sure that this is exactly the piece of music you want. So the music you are searching for is probably in the pipeline. We recommend you sign up to our newsletter to ensure you are kept abreast of our new releases. Also do drop us a line and let us know what you want- if there are enough of you we will review our release schedule!

What formats do you sell?

Our tracks are only available as MP3s encoded at 320kbps (high quality MP3).

Are these recordings original?

Yes, unless they are marked otherwise. 
Occasionally product has been marked as a re-recording. Sometimes composers have had to re-record their own compositions as they do not own the original rights which are retained by the film/ tv production company. In this situation we will mark the product as a re-recording.

Do you use any form of Digital Rights Management (DRM)?

No, all of our tracks are available DRM-free.  This means you can burn the tracks you buy from us onto a compilation CD for your own use, or use them on your MP3 or media player of choice.

Does that mean I can copy the tracks onto CDs?

Yes, if it is for your own personal use. 
If you chose to copy for others to introduce them to your favourite composer, we will of course be delighted if they then go on to show their appreciation and support by purchasing the product themselves. Please act within your conscience and discretion.

Why is your pricing in US Dollars? Can I pay in my own currency?

To minimise costs we are using US PayPal to handle our transactions, so while the tracks are priced in US Dollars, PayPal automatically converts this to your local currency.

What if I don't have a PayPal Account?

Unfortunately we can only accept payments via PayPal.  However, you can create an account easily and without fuss at the checkout stage, it's secure and it only takes a few minutes.
