Catweazle

synopsis
Catweazle, played by Geoffrey Bayldon, is a magician living in the 11th century. A magician with very little success when it comes to making his spells work. When the conquering Norman soldiers come to arrest him, he makes a desperate attempt to escape. His magic propels him nine centuries into the future landing in Hexwood Farm. Unaccustomed as he is to the 20th century, he believes the automobiles, telephones and electricity he comes into contact with are forms of magic. With the help of the farmer’s son Carrot, played by Robin Davies and in the second series Cedric, played by Gary F. Warren, he uses magic in an attempt to return to his own time.
